About The Authors

Masayasu Iwase is Chief in Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at Hakujikai Memorial General Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. He earned graduate degree (DDS) from Showa University, Tokyo, Japan and postgraduate degree form (PhD) from Showa University, Tokyo, Japan. He studied oral infection at Department of Pathology, School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, PA, USA.
He has published more than 90 research papers in national and international academic journals and authored more than 10 books. His research interests include head and neck cancer, orthognathic surgery and oral infection.



Hiroaki Nishijima is Clinical Assistant in Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at Jinkokai Hospital, Atsugi, Japan. He earned graduate degree (DMD) from Tsurumi University, Yokohama, Japan. His research interests include maxillofacial surgery.



Gen Kondo is Chief in Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Atsugi, Japan. He eared graduate degree (DDS) from Oou University, Kooriyama, Japan and postgraduate degree (PhD) from Showa University, Tokyo, Japan. He has published 20 research papers in national and international academic journals. His research interests include oral cancer and dental implant.



Michiko Ito is Clinical Fellow at Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dental Medicine, Tsurumi University, Yokohama, Japan. She earned graduate degree (DMD) from Tsurumi University, Yokohama, Japan. Her research interests include maxillofacial surgery.
