Abstract

|
Introduction: Tomoi also known as Muay Thai kickboxing is referred to as "The Science of Eight Limbs". Deaths do occur, however, sprained fingers and toes, cuts and bruises on the head, face and neck and bloody noses are the more typical injuries.
Case Report: We report a case of Tomoi kick boxer who sustained severe traumatic brain injury in the ring during an inaugural Tomoi kickboxing competition in northeastern Kelantan. Conclusion: This was the first time such a case had been reported in Malaysia. Health and safety measures to avoid such injury are also recommended. | |
